Because No Two Dogs or Owners are the same...
At Blazing Trails K9 Academy, we are passionate dog lovers just like you. Our journey began over 30 years ago with a simple belief - every dog and owner deserve a great relationship! From the way we work with you and the way we train your individual dog, to the programs we offer, we are dedicated to helping you raise the dog you always wanted.

With over 3 decades of experience training thousands of owners and their dogs, double international organization certifications, and a deep understanding of the bond between pets and their owners, we've crafted training programs that prioritize you and your individual dog's needs. We will work together with you to provide a custom, exclusive experience in every way.

Customized Training Programs offered
We offer affordable group classes, individual and package private lessons, daytraining (the dog comes for the day for training lessons and goes back home at night) and board and train (let us do the heavy lifting!) The most humane and effective methods possible. We refuse to lock into any one style or technique but instead are highly skilled in a variety of methods so we can choose the things that will be the best for your situation. We will always use positive motivation to teach new behaviors, and provide clear guidance to avoid problems, while working in the least aversive way to achieve the results you need.
With 40 years of experience training thousands of dogs, we have experience with most breeds. We don't discriminate based on breed, size or age of dog!
You are correct, there is alot of free information on the internet, and lots of friends can offer free advice. There are alot of books on the topic as well. When you hire an experienced professional, you can often save a lot of time, money, and hassle because with eyes on the dog we can customize. What is written on the internet or in a book, may apply to some dogs, but not always will it apply to your particular case. And for some things, applying a technique incorrectly or for the wrong problem, may end up making things even worse. For obedience training, we can cut your time down significantly. In the long run, alot of our clients spent a lot of money and frustration, trying to get it right, only to still end up with us in the end. Save yourself the time and heartache!
